Ted Van Thullenar

My name is Ted Van Thullenar, 

I am a senior here at Coastal Carolina University and will graduate in December 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Sport Management. 

I have developed some strong skills over the past couple years through my past internships with ESPN+ and Myrtle Beach Sports Tourism. These positions have prepared me in recreation facilities and operations as well as media work which is essential in recreation and sport. Outside of internships, I have had multiple occupations in sales, customer service, and facility operations.

Career Goals

I want to be an assistant coach for either a college team or professional soccer team. I feel I have so much potential in that profession and have a lot of experience within soccer as well so I know what it takes to get the team to what level the head coach wants.  I feel that I can share that to the next generation and help kids and teenagers have fun with the sport but also become so much better.

Another one of my career goals it to own or work for a surf resort. Here on the East Coast, we do not get a lot of swell for people to surf. A wave pool would be an amazing addition for the East Coast surfers and I would love to have the opportunity to put on events or market my skills in this profession.
